The sculpture-jewel offers a testimony: that of a moment in history, of a place, of a person and its roots and sometimes of its uprooting.
Mobile frontiers, unstable or contested limits, Historical places; this project re-creates European landscapes, imaginary or not- inside jewels lodging sometimes in matrix-sculptures that are their abode and place of stability.
This is a project that rejects division between an object worn and sculpture: a project where the technicalities of both fields cross.
It is at the Chéret Gallery, which has been defending creators for 50 years, that I now find the space and the support to show this recent research.
