When a precious piece of clothing is damaged, why downgrade it with inferior mending, or worse, discard it, if it can also be embellished with sophisticated embroidered jewelry? This innovative technique combines luxury, preciousness and sustainability, allowing us to turn our favourite garments into lifelong works of art.
The idea for the embroidered jewelry reparations emerged from a collaboration between Belgian textile creator Anneleen Bertels and Dutch jewelry designer and goldsmith Lindsey Fontijn. They connected through their shared mission to intertwine craftsmanship and innovation, create out of intuition and let material transform itself over time.
